Cancer Doesn’t Have to Be in Your Future — The Secret of PEOs
            (Parental Essential Oils)

Based on state-of-the-art science from the world’s leading medical textbooks and medical journals, and from leading oncology researchers, this is written to give you a new perspective about cancer. Keep an open mind.
Following are examples of well-intentioned but ineffective “anti-cancer” recommendations: Eating lots of fruits and vegetables (1), taking fish oil supplements (2), adding fiber to the diet (3,4), eating more soy and soy-based foods, and avoiding fat (5).  All have now been called into question. (So is taking flax oil supplements alone, or getting mammography screening for “early detection.” In fact, any cancer detected by mammography has been present at least five years before showing up.) The wonderful news is there is one prime cause of cancer with an effective protocol for prevention.

What Cancer Isn’t

Let me state what cancer is not. Cancer is not an invader in our bodies like a virus or bacterial infection, nor is it a genetic distortion determined to kill us. Cancer is the body, at the cellular level, attempting to allow the injured tissue or organ to survive by reverting to a primitive survival mechanism. This definition is the result of embracing the latest research from a variety of disciplines whose practitioners include epidemiologists, geneticists, and oncologists in the forefront of their fields.

Good News from Recently Released Research is Changing Minds: Cancer is Not Genetic

Physicians who treat cancer often mistakenly believe that the answer will be found in oncogenes — genes that somehow predispose the individual toward cancer. Yet as far back as 1998, Dr. Weinberg, originator of the term “oncogene,” stated: “Something was very wrong. The notion that a cancer developed through the successive activation of a series of oncogenes had lost its link to reality.” A decade later, the following 2009 statement by an eminent cancer/genetics researcher may shock you, too:
I’d like to acknowledge the following extraordinary insight by Homer Macapintac, MD, chair and professor of nuclear medicine at the University of Texas, M. D. Anderson Cancer Center:

2009 Revelation Geneticists Misled …

In 2008, Scientific American published an article describing how cancer researchers have been led astray by renowned geneticist Lawrence Loeb’s claims of cancer’s 10,000 to 100,000 mutations per cell. The reality is that there are only 65 to 475 mutations per cell — not nearly enough mutations to cause cancer! (6)
A year earlier in 2007 it was reported that tumor-free breast tissue manifests precancerous epigenetic (not genetic) changes: “A new study using mastectomy tissue shows that precancerous changes can occur in normal-appearing areas of the breast as distant as two inches from a tumor’s edge.” (7,8)
Relying solely on genetics to explain this is difficult at best — the logical conclusion is that there has to be a physiologic, epigenetic (non-genetic) cause changing the distant tissue, not vice versa.

The Cancer/Inflammation Connection

Renowned cancer researcher Dr. Robert Weinberg (originator of the term “oncogene”) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) stated clearly in 2007: “In this rewriting of the textbook…The connection between inflammation and cancer has moved to center stage [replacing genetics] in the research arena.” (9) It is fortunate that a cancer researcher of Weinberg’s stature has been influential in refocusing the research community’s attention. What does chronic inflammation cause? Very simply, massive oxygen deployment to the inflamed tissue, if enough oxygen is available.

The Prime Cause of Cancer

The above information clearly shows why decades of genetic research have failed to lead to a cause or cure for cancer, and a new non-genetic based path is now being investigated. But this path has already been forged. Over 80 years ago, medical physicist, physiologist, and Nobel Prize-winner Otto Warburg, MD, PhD, proved that a sustained 35% reduction in oxygen causes cancer. (10) Dr. Warburg has been called the greatest biochemist of the 20th century. Meticulous (American) experiments performed by renowned researchers from 1953 to 1955 also confirmed his result. (11,12) However, until recently, no one knew how to take advantage of Warburg’s discovery because they didn’t know how to increase cellular oxygen to prevent cancer. Today, we do.

Cellular Oxygen Deficiency Explained
Food Processors Ruin PEOs

Why do we become oxygen deficient at the cellular level? Simple: adulterated fats and oils from the food processing industry in your supermarket’s cooking oil section get incorporated into your cells and don’t work the way nature intended, since these oils are not found in nature. Modern adulterated oils have very long shelf-life but have lost their full oxygenating ability. These cooking oils started out containing the fully functional, highly oxygen-transferring PEOs, the only 2 essentials EFAs I term (Parent Essential Oils)—in particular, parent omega-6—but once they become ruined during processing, they lose their oxygenating capacity.  Tragically, we are all unknowingly giving ourselves cancer by eating common, everyday processed foods. Transfats are only the “tip of the iceberg” processing method used by food processors to obtain long shelf-life; any commercial cooking oil must by definition have insufficient oxygenating capability so it stays “fresh.”  This is not a conspiracy; merely the food industry making a profit. Convenience equals cancer.

Proof of Decreased Cellular Oxygen

Proof of cellular oxygen deficiency was published back in 1976, if anyone cared to look. (13) Dr. Campbell showed that if there was not enough functional parent omega-6 in the diet, then either defective, adulterated oils would be incorporated into the cells, or the wrong oil would be substituted by the body. Regardless, the decreased cellular oxygen could reach 50% less than required, exceeding by far the critical 35% cancer causing deficiency level.

The Simple Solution — Rethinking EFA Supplementation
Ratios and Amounts

The current message to “eat more omega-3 or lots of fish (and fish oil supplements)” is overly simplistic and harmful because it is not based on human physiology or biochemistry. My 15 years of research strongly supports the use of an unprocessed, organic PEO (Parent Essential Oil) supplement containing a ratio in the range of 1 parent part omega-6 to 1 part parent omega-3, up to 2.5 parts omega-6 to 1 part omega-3. Although human physiology and biochemistry fully support this, most nutritional “experts” don’t recommend it because they have not done a careful analysis of the relevant equations. For complete details of how this specific ratio is calculated, see the special medical report, “The Scientific Calculation of the Optimum PEO Ratio,” available at www.BrianPeskin.com (click on “PEO Report”).
